Was a really good weekend except for some crappy English weather and some rather ridiculous sound restrictions at points of the festival. I beleive the pub owner who hired the field was complaining about loosing business in his pub during the day when he was making serious £££ from the 2000 or so people on his rear field!! greedy!! Friday night and saturday night sound levels werent too bad!! I had a well good weekend anyway! Big smile

Did anyone get any pictures of the system in the bar tent?

Void system looks nice :)

Ohh maybe someone can answer this for me: and this is ref to FREE parties NOT this gig
If you do FREE parties ( rent your system for free ) why put a banner above the system ? Surely police and the like see this and will track you down & any work you may get from it is free anyway ..... seems your taking a large risk to gain nothing.

Thanks :)

It might be how they suggest when you're running 2 a side, but I don't think the Res 4 is designed to be used in more than 3 per side configurations at all anyway - you're in Res 5 territory then.

Promotion. It's a risk crews are willing to take I guess, without promoting who you are you're unlikely to build up a following and that would maybe mean less people at your parties. When you're doing an illegal event, crowd numbers probably work in your favour (until they start acting like idiots and giving the police grief) and who doesn't want to be known for putting on a 'phat rave m8 lol'?

Most of the people involved basically treat free parties like a club night or small festival that's operated without a license and restrictions that come with it. To be honest, unless the police in an area are utterly useless they're already going to know who's involved through use of undercover officers, numberplate recording, photography and video recordings etc etc and using a banner probably isn't going to make a huge amount of difference.
