Pretty much as the topic .. anyone tried using sheep wool insulation to damp a cab?

Can't see why it why it wouldn't work but just thought I'd ask if anyone has done it and how it worked.

Sounds ideal, the heavier the fibre the more absorbtion , its naturaly flame proof and "sustainable"

Apparently it works very well and as tinnitus has already mentioned, it’s naturally self-extinguishing so no toxic fumes if the worst happens!!

Some types have polyester added (fire risk) to bulk it up others are poorly treated and become infested. Don't buy cheap stuff, get a UK branded product.

Ive got 2/3rds of a pack that was left over from a multi million pound property build i was working on. Eveything was specified to be the best of  the best! Thanks for the info though woody, i know very little about the product and that is useful information.

For hifi self build I bought raw wool from long haired sheep from the farmer. Quite greasy and needed cold wash in the bath then completely drying. Works very well and better than polyester
