If my drum fill would do 150dB it still wouldn't be enough for some drummers....
Badly tuned floor toms with lots of ring probably don't help the feedback situation. I agree they are exceptional value mics, cheap enough to be disposable. |

We just used a bunch of D606s for a festival, 42 bands and to be honest I couldn't fault them and sounded good, got no feedback issues either. Infact they sounded really good. The other soundie was very impressed. The only issue we found was a slight inconsistency in the sound between them but once matched up and used together they do the job admirably. We used the audio technics clamps on them rather than the stock ones.

the 58's are recognised by all though, may not sound the best but are so industry standard people cant complain when they get one!
Our audix bits arnt around at the moment, but we also have an audix DP5 set and 4x OM7's.

Beta58, there's a reason why it's an industry standard.
And it's not 'marketing'!!

those JTS things arnt bad, we have a load used for karaoke, and other nights involving mixing with drunks, they lack lowend response and are a but heavy around 3khz, but otherwise are really useable, and cost next to nothing. Identical switch tape to ours also hah |

It saddens me to see that no one has got any Shure KSM9's or Neumann KM105's for vocals.
What are ya? A bunch of DIYers..........
