We set it up along the long wall to begin with, then after I left, Ford decided to move one stack. He can fill you in on the reasons and the results!

that just looks like a dual 12"+comp to me? same as any other dual 12" design thats been around since the 60s. However, i bet they sound awesome with the BMS mids, cant go wrong with a decent dual 12+comp design/drivers!! |

Here's my little sound system, I know it's tiny compared to most on here, but it's bangin in the small hall I do my gigs at.
![]() I got my SRX728S subs last year when I could afford it, but this year i'm struggling (bills lol), so i had to get mid/highs not so good. The Peavey UL215H cabs I got are loud, not the best sound quality but they'll be ok until next year when i've started my disco business (I know, but there's a lot of money in it in my town). Next year i'm gonna save up for a few months and buy another SRX728S sub, and run all 3 of my SRX728S subs in discreet mode, running 3 drivers off each side of a used QSC PL380. If I save hard enough I sould be able to afford it. Hopefully I can find a pair of Turbosound TQ440 cabs (they're rare but when they come up for sale they go for about £500 each), they're absolutely damn loud, then i'll sell my Peavey UL215H cabs i've got now and use the TQ440 cabs on top of the 3 SRX subs. Hopefully the TQ440 cabs will keep up spl wise. |

Yes they do sound good, and can go loud as hell with minimal conemovement.
And with this type of hardstyle music the whole set sounds awsome.
But with more ''normal'' music like rock and hardrock there's still some harshness around medium to high pitched vocals and guitars I can't get away.

I was never a fan of the Black Widow driver's lack of midrange clarity and the 22RX driver's harsh piercing high frequency. I play drum & bass, oldskool 1990-1994 techno like Joey Beltram style and oldskool hardcore like this :
So for that style of music the SRX728S are excellent subs. Edited by richard stringer - 07 June 2011 at 10:36am |
