i always though that the wavelengh at that frequency wouldnt make much difference to the coupling at such a short distance. but dont take my word for it im probably wrong. 8he hogs were doing 30 to 60 Es18 were 60-95 and usbs 95-140

you right, as long as they are no more than 1,4m away, they will couple.

Good information, I think there's some more posts around about this. What do you mean by "8he hogs" I can only see 4 pcs + what is "he" about?
ES18 & usb bins are very similar, almost playing same freq area, so I wonder why you use them together, it should not be necessary with a 3way bass with sub+deepkick+kick! But I guess it's just what you've got.
I would probably play the kick boxes together and see how that works, it depends a bit on the drivers too. Playing a speaker box on a ranges smaller than one octave is a bit of waste I think!

The hogs are less than 1.4m apart so looks like were good =]
And sorry typo "THE" hogs(4 of them), and yea we usualy use either the es18 or the USB's as its not very often we get them both out, there both loaded with different drivers es18s have pd186's and the hogs have fane 18xbs and yea thats why we split the frequencys the way we do, as the es18s will play lower where as the usbs struggle a little and the opposite on the other end of the frequency scale, i also find they sound nicer and seem to play a little louder having only needing to reproduce a smaller frequency bandwidth.
We had Callide (D&B DJ) headlining and he did comment on his Facebook how impressed he was that it sounded as good as valve used to sound no whether or not i take that as a compliment im yet to decide having never heard valve old or new haha. but we had nothing but compliments even from another sound system who was also there so yea. and i was very happy with how it sounded.
