i h ave to agree with hbl too there, you can quite clearly see a nice neatly stacked pile of wooden panels and a driver on top [looks pd???]
which can only suggest that some kind of box building shenanigans are either in progres or due on soon, yet as already said for a workshop it looks almost like you tidied it for te pic, guess your just more together and tidy than me..... |

Going for 4 X1, was impressed today by one loaded the Void off a bridged TA24000, amazing precise and powerfull tones. At first the box was loaded with a celestion FTR 4080... loud but
not as nice.No wonder look at the difference between the void V1000 and the celestion (demonstration courtesy of HBL...): ![]() Yes the garage looks tidy and clean, but it so small that I had to get the everything sorted the pile arethe soon to be 12 HD15, it's the celstion on top of it. |

other than output I'm guessing the void sounds better too? mind its alot more expensive..... |

yes but it makes a difference. you need an expensive driver or it makes the x1 sound like a fart box. the quality of bass is in a different level. i never understood the point of putting a cheap driver in such a demanding box.

@Markk: Yes, for a while I had one of my 15" reflex boxes loaded with a B&W 12" sub driver and an adaptor baffle (bit of MDF hammered into place!). I don't have the 12" driver any more but I'm currently working on some Nexo PS8 style tops to go with one of those 15" subs in my mates bedroom. He wants it loud and that's what he's going to get.
Until I built the twin 10" for a while I had a single 12" BP4 cabinet, again loaded with any old driver. Was very good between 50-70Hz but f.all anywhere else! That cab is waiting for a dry day to be burnt! |

Nice man... however I might get all huffy cos your now building the same rig as me. (Don't you just hate that HBL
I agree with HBL.. X1s need the right drivers (1850 or V1000).. my C18 650ELs work and sound good... but I would much prefer a set of 4 V1000.. maybe in time they will come (as the C18s die off).
