Hello community.
I plan to build a 4 way sound for 50 to 100 people max. outdoor setting. roots music.
My thinking for the sub section is to go with the old JBL 4520 dual cabinet with two 15'' drivers instead of a Mogale 18".  I am thinking of 15's due to weight issues.
On top I plan to build a single kick section plus mid/top section (still in research).
My question is, if that setup is possible to achieve that sub in terms of dynamics.
My goal is to achieve similar energy but on a smaller scale.
I use WinISD to compare drivers with cabs but I am still learning.
I thought I should ask people here who have experience with sound.

Thanks in advvance.

If cabinet weight is an issue, why a dual scoop cab instead of two singles?
Keep pushing on, things are gonna get better.

when you read around the web most people using jbl 4520 or 4530 cabinet today are more hifi than PA oriented, where as with the superscooper you will find people using them like you intend to do

owning a 4530, i tried a few 15“ with different results, a very subjective topic i guess. and i am using the horn up to 800hz, 2 way only

i would recommend 18“ with mogale or eminence scoop, with kicks above.

How much i love the sound of the jbl 4530 and -20 (they define my youth in belgian clubs) they will have to work really hard to keep up with demand. we ran 2 4520's indoors and never came further as 200 people while playing regular dance music. a single 4520 will cover 50 people outdoors, but would work reallly really hard to cover more people while running as low enough..

funny; sold some surplus amplifiers to a guy yesterday running a roots system. he also started with 4 JBL 4530's but switched to diy 18" scoops because of the above; struggled to go loud and low enough.
