Just to officially confirm, all four sounds will be at GP.
Hope to see you down there.

Have a blessed day (and I mean that, straight from the bottom of my clean heart)

We would like to thank all attendees, especially the ladies and newcomers who attended Soundsystem Sound-Off, yesterday.
Also want to take timeout, to thank Killer Instinct, Eternity, Stereo City and Hi Grade sound for helping to make our event a sucess.

This event has become the longest most consistently stable running event of its kind ever!!!

So we give respeck where respeck is due - to you the punters and to you the sounds that have entered our event and not forgetting respeck to the 'Original AV Promoters' who pioneered this unique concept!

Yo... Big up man like Motion 54 an all of de sound man dem fi real..
There were some dispute about Eternity using 6 subs but by far they sounded better then the rest.
I'm not sure who the sound that had the 4 hog scoops, But dem sound alright still. However the bass didn't reach the other side of the hall. Whilst standing infront of them, they sounded clean and heavy but from a distant no so. wha gwa deh so?

Thanks to all for a great night of entertainment.

Sub wise Eternity were dominating the session, up until Judge Jason54 ruled the 5th & 6th scoops must be plugged out. LOL

After that was a lot more balanced between the sounds.

Higrade & Eternity had plenty of entertaining mic banter.

Stereo City had dangerous mids, some lovely tunes, but at a distance could not really hear much sub.
Seemed the drivers were not happy in that cab. Was getting fearful for them, as they were baffling somewhat at times.Shocked

Could hear set was continually being tuned all night, which is to be acknowledged.Clap

For me, Killer Instinct had the most complete, consistent sound all night. They were seriously entertaining.

Good point Levy..
I'm not so excited about building the Hogs after last night. Don't get me wrong. They sound good, But should do so all round the hall, Not just when you stand in front of them. Something is not right there.. Eternity done a sound check with us not so long ago. Those Wattco Scoops sound awesome loaded with PD1850's. The Wattco sounds better than my other friend's 1850's loaded ASS scoops.
and they both use the same Crest 901???? However there are other factors, pre amps, mixer, EQ etc etc.. to take into account .. What I like to hear is some folded horns vs scoops back 2 back
Just because you got more boxes that don't make you a man....

Been told, hog sounds better loaded with 1850's

Just want to welcome you to the forum.

Just curious what part you play in the sound game. Are you a sound owner, box builder or promoter?
Also, are you a regular at our events?

Motion.. Thanks for the warm welcome..
I have been in the sound game for many years. been involved with many sounds in the past.
Do you know or remember a sound called Jahman and Sledgehammer from SE London from the the 80's And Jah Revelation, again from New Cross SE London. Well.. I built their double boxes back then. Thats a long story....
We are in the process of building a new sound system. Building boxes is my ting. I have my workshop set up. getting my jig made up for CNC routing. I'm looking forward to becoming a serious cab builder to take away Tony's crown but first I have to deal with Bee. Just kidding. Its just a part time thing for me...
Last night was my first time @ GP .. I really enjoyed it, But we need more gal. Wink

I was standing right next to you when you was on mike telling Eternity they were using 6 boxes Clap
Next time I introduce myself.. Keep up the good work.. and the wicked vibes..
Just because you got more boxes that don't make you a man....
