Hi, iv bin a member on hear for a few months now and thought it about time i started a topic,

had a decent event this weekend in The Park Estate Nottingham to celebrate the queens jubilee,

Had 3 bands on, ( Jazztastic, The Fabulous Teebag Boys, The ''Conmitments'' and 150 members  The Nottingham Rock Choir ) starting from 1pm up untill 6pm, with various things inbetween like a tug of war and raffles etc, as with true british style it rained both on the day of setup and on the event,

System i used was 2 black box tops and 2 black box w bins, tops where powered by 2 QSC series 3 3800's and bins were 2 bridged C-audio srx3701's (2 backup QSC's, 2 backup c-audio's and a backup xti4000 just incase) controlled by a Behringer Ultradrive, fed by a Ramsa DA7 mk2 desk, AKG Drum mic set, Beta 57's and 58's on vocals and instruments and a beyer m88tg for a ''bass ukulele'' and a trumpet,

Had a few problems at the beginning of the day due to the power supply in the park not being 240v so was causing all sorts of problems from hissing, to amps just randomly powering down and my xti4000 just cycling the on sequence, turns out the toilet block had 4 electric heaters in that were on full pulling from the same phase and various tee earns and hot plates.

In the end the problems were sorted and the sunday went without a hicup (Bar a flat tyre on the van)
All bands played amazingly without and the crowd loved it, have plenty of pictures and vids to post for people to watch, and please all your feedback and comments are welcome good or bad,  thanks alot

madness using an expensive truss stand for the FOH desk, looks cool though, if not a waste of truckpack space and much slower than a tilt!

Also, shame the midtops couldnt be raised to headheight - must have sliced the front people in half with a giant hornloaded mid and comp in your face!! Seeing as they hired in steeldeck/note for next time, could have got two extra pieces with 4ft legs to get the tops up a fair bit Thumbs Up

no!! the canopy was a last minute thing lol, they said they had sorted a cover out for the stage but to be honest it did a really good job og keeping the rain off, and i did tell them jsut after they put it up that it was the french flag, they didnt take kindly to it.

the stand dus look pretty funky and gets a lot of comments, and to b honest it dusnt take up much room cause it all splits down into smallish bits, the stage was supplied by me and unfortunatly due to a f**k up at the van rental place, my hire van wasnt there so had to do the whole setup with my swb citroen relay, had to remove bulkhead and driver cage just to fit stage in but next time will deffo bring 2 extra bits and raise the stack up, or just use 2 more bins :-)
