I'm trying to load WinXP home onto a Toshiba L10 laptop, all is not going well.
Apart from one long error bleep that lasts most of the way through the initial comand prompt part of the loading the laptop then dumps me straight into the command prompt without asking whether I want to choose to repair or install windows and bypasses asking whisch installation I want to log into. I have deleted the only visible partition with Gparted and Diskpart but this doesn't help. ![]() |

Dunno whether you've sorted it already but its all about partitioning using a Ubuntu boot disk in my experience, it's helped me install Windows where Windows itself has failed. Kind of ironic
