Ok   how do i wipe writting off a tour label so i can re-label it  

been written on with a sharpie   tried  foam cleaner, label remover and good old white spirit   no luck at all 

sure im about to be shamed with a simple answer here -)

If IPA won;t shift it, then move on to Acetone. But be careful with it as it will likely damage the flight case surface and any other paint you get it on. Nail polish remover is acetone based.

PAL cleaner as linked above is the official one, but a squirt of WD40 also works great Smile

Have you tried PRF label off, or other citrus based stuff?


Many times removes permanent sharpie markings off plastics, depending how long ink has been applied. Label off needs good few minutes to be effective.

Fresh citrus odour is a plus compared to tougher chemicals...

Next would be the oven cleaner.

As already mentioned, Isopropyl Alcohol (Isopropanol or IPA) is the best stuff to use.  Evaporates without leaving any residue, won't affect most other materials.  Also good for cleaning whiteboards etc in addition to removing flux residues from PCB's and many other uses.

Scribbling over with a dry wipe marker and wiping it off, a few goes of that and its gone. Works a treat when the idiots use the wrong pen on the darts score board in the pub

Ipa. Don't use sharpies. Get some pentel markers.
