[QUOTE=TechnoChef]Yeah BP6, was originally going to build X1s but the response didn't plot very well with my beyma 18g550s. Plus the X1s wouldn't have given the tops enough height.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the funds to make prototypes and get the tuning right. Hence the move to cubos, from what I've read they'll suit most drivers, only one way to find out! QUOTE] Why not try the 184 sub on the speakerplans main site, if you're using beyma g550's. It's the most recommended driver after the PD184. Having used them before I must say they do sound nice. |

I did consider the 184s, but winisd told me this box was going to play a good few Hz lower. If only it was that easy!
Having heard a cubo 15 with just an eminence delta, I was quite impressed. A pair of cubo subs with beymas in should do the job nicely! |

Fair play. I just wish I could justify sorting a pair of 184's out for myself. Unfortunately the gigs I do tend to be small so I don't really need anything that size.

Holy balls indeed!
I think that barn must act like a giant mega horn or something, every time we've played the rig in there I could walk (quite a long way) from the front opening and the bass would keep getting louder! Shame they don't live there anymore, would love to rave that barn one more time! (edit) Out of interest, how far away was it? Edited by TechnoChef - 28 November 2011 at 6:24pm |
