Hi... i'm hoping for some advice as i have a nexo si 1000 rig with 8 bins and 8 tops but there is not enough in the low end so want to beef it up in a big way. What would be the best sub/driver combo to use beneath this to add some much needed weight down low. Oh and i play primarily hardcore techno. Many Thanks

X1, or something more traditional reflex, large volume, to get low? Given you only need a narrow bandwidth, a bandpass box may be good, but may be awkward to get group delay/phase/etc bang on, when crossing to Nexo rig.
Treat the Si1000 bins as kick (twin HD15 effectively?) and get something that will do the octave or two below it. Reflex, whilst big, will get low, and be straightforward to work out X-over/delay to Si1000 rig. Easy to integrate?

the SI1000 bass section is a ported horn, so to get a smooth and flat phase crossover point into some subs underneath you will need to raise the high pass frequency of the SI1000 system so that the ported section is effectively removed from the system.
With the addition of suitable subs you will not miss the output from the ported section of the bass bins. In terms of suitable designs, i would stick to twin 18" reflex tuned to around 30hz. The nexo bass boxes are very loud in the bandpass of the horn section, so will need a big sub section to keep up. As a starting point, you are likely to need at least one twin 18" sub to keep up with each SI1000B. You will off course need to delay the subs to the bass section.
