True,the large signal character is interesting.Couldnt the underhung high excursion hold its crappily low BL for more excursion than a overhung 5mm xmax,25mm xmech prosound type.

Just use a notch filter at Fc

im soon going to build 18" scoops, for the first time.
i have two omega pro eminence 18".

what happen if i put these eminence drivers in the 18" super scooper? because super scoopers are made for precision devives.

do you think its better to build scoops as plans in the eminence manual?

please, what would be the difference if i put eminence omega pro 18" drivers instead of pd1850 in those 18" superscoopers?

Built my scoops from Rog's plans,Omega Pro's sound good in pretty in them.

Just to add to the above.I have another scoop with a 600w Celestion driver in it,don't know model no. but that also sounds ok.

what do u think about the fane colossos 18B 600 watts,

has a qts of 0,23, the xb has 0.38 and same watts.

i always hear, lower qts is always better in scoops...?

fane 18xb's sound the business in scoops i havent heard the diff between them and the 18b - but i alwayz think if you know something works -why change it- i would stick with the 18xb's, they are ideal in scoops, i bought some scoops with 18xb's fitted i used them for 3 years without any problems-when i took them out of the scoop- they were dated 1995!! without any signs of any problems or reconing! i do highly recomend them-
