thats what i tried to say previously Lev, if the prices asked for proper phase plugged horns are above your budget best to stay within budget and try to make the best of what you got for the time beeing?

imo theres a huge difference between the two so quite hard to compare on any level..

I think the copiers are making more money than the designers, so their prices are cheaper.

Not fair for the designers, but most punters will go for value for money.
No, they won't be making any money. I knew a guy that made fibre hifi stands for a year. End of the year the accountant told him he hadn't made any money

value for money has nothing to do with the price itself, cheap tat stays cheap tat, no matter how cheap it is..! A coaxial horn for less than 150quid will most definately have not a lot of qualities other than beeing cheap... same goes for most of "his products".. not really worth the money imo

but yeah, horses for courses :)

I'm not talking about the "cheap tat", you see on the bay. LOLWink

please elaborate.. ?!

No need to be so secretive, on the one hand you ask for all to put their prices and specs up, on the other you wont tell your findings Wink LOL

which drivers do you guys spec for your horns?  can you use a range of drivers or is the plug spec'ed for one particular driver?

please try and keep the drivers within everyones budget.  £150 or less would be ideal

what would you expect to pay for such an item?

id be offering approx 150-200 per mould (depending on specs and compatibilty), this wouldnt be a one of order but more of a trade price for the 2way mid/tops that i regularly build and sell

BUT from what i can see, it doesnt seem like you want to sell any Confused or just not interested & alot of negativity, ive no idea what the cost would be to make them so feel free to enlighten me, but my offer is based on whats available that look similar here in the UK, Europe and USA

value for money has everything to do with it for the guys buying, especially the guys who dont drive bentlys

lets look at it another way, a cheapo company makes the horns for £50 and sells 6000 of them per year, mr im too good to respond to you makes them for £500 ans sells 1 per year, whos winning ...?

For example:
limmer 308 - 490€ brut
(boxed and loaded 2300€ brut)
limmer 312 - 325€ brut

both only play 180ish Hz up so quite harder to find a kick bin suitable without honking imo

TSG horns:
120-160€ + 50€ shipping each + import duty (upto 17%?) + VAT 20% incl. shipping costs afaik
specs to be taken with a pinch of salt, quality does seem to be nowhere near the limmers imo
