Interested in 12" mid horns for approx £200 each.
Not looking for Compression horn, I prefer Alu.

good luck, sorry lev, go to you local boat shop and price up the materials, then double it. That's just for your materials. around 10 to 15 meters of matting, plus resin, gel coat, colour pigment, talc, acetate, cleaning gear, measuring cups etc.... There is a reason a production cab (f1, turbo, void) all charge 2k a box..... There to my knowledge is no sub £200 horn with phase bung available. If there was it would be all over the forum... Porn horns were £500 pluss per one from memory... Limmer horns are around the same, a bit cheaper from memory..

People have no idea what involved in making a horn out of fiberglass and how fecking toxic the fumes and dust are. Not to mention the hard labor and hours and hours spend to perfect the mold. Which is actually a 95% of the work. Some of my horns took months to make them right. That cost lot more then whatever the material cost is.

Mykey, there are people making 12" Mid horns for £250-£275, and not bodge jobs either. Just asked here, to acquire feedback, guess I've got it.

And the more you do it the more people will less respect you . Knew exactly what this thread was set up for and so do other members. It will get to the stage where members won't want to deal with you. Just saying

business depends on orders i guess, any other than that is wishful thinking and waisting your time and energy ;)
theres no big margins selling such more or less "one offs", its not that theres a market to sell 100s a month either.. ;)
work out for yourselfes where the "perfect balance" for such a business model would be..
