Not quite so.  After you pointed it out I was suspicious myself so jumped back and forth thru the (nearly) two hours of it and can see in several places that the mixer and decks are live.

At 1:46:11 you can clearly see that the cue button for channel 2 is lit and you can also see (blue panel L nearest the camera) that the Flanger has been set.

I think ol' Disco Dave is enough of a veteran not to have to mime a set. Although you do hear stories (not him specifically)

Yeah I thought I saw a few buttons illuminated here and there but still no signal levels present, no way any big name DJ/Producer would not light up those meters like a christmas tree if he was actually playing something. I say the set was canned and played back from FOH and he was just making an "appearance".

It's very hard to see any lights on those mixers on sunny days.
