I love a double 15. If you don't need the last few hz from an 18, it has so much to offer but gets overlooked far too easily.

Thanks!
I agree, but the prices are equal to 18” now so I understand that you will pic them instead…

I made this restoration with only a few tools and a small room (closet) and what I got left to do is to get the handles nice, get the rust off because they don’t make them anymore.

So from a couple of sides with mould, too small vents, minimal bracing, xlr inputs, old beer on cones, not air sealed, oxedized corners and alu profiles to this oldschool beautySmile

What are your impressions of it?

I really like it, was strong down low 40ish and with higher lowpass at 130ish it had good attack and punch. We did most listening with 38 and 100hz filter. In the living room it was hard to tell if the db/w was any high but a lot of sawdust from the sealing / attic was snowing downLOL

I have only a few reflex reference in the past, 2xkappa 15lf 160L, pd.186mk2 in b&c sub18, 18sound kit18sub and a own 200L 35hz sub. I don't have these anymore.

This one sounded more controlled and powerful then any of the others. The pd was extremely slow and muddy.

The cab it self need a little more bracing.

This will be a great allround cabThumbs Up

I need advice on dampening materials for this reflex cab.
What would you use and how much?

Yesterday I put one cab together, no sealing on any driver , hardware or ports. And no wadding . Went to my old mans house for some testing, just to know what the drivers with new ports could do. I was fun :-) worked very well and now I got some ideas of how it going to sound when its done.
Top was a pd.121+b&c me45+p.audio bm-d450mk1.
Dcx and qsc usa 850+1300.
