Stumbled upon two ca18s ,675gbp piece.
But made an offer 1100 and change for both , waiting for the guy to make up his mind.
Ok price?
Kinda on the fence if I need them but reckon gonna try it out Vs k10 .
Also wondering can they handle two 4ohm drivers in bridge ?

I know real 9001 lovers, who switched to QSC PL380 amps years ago.

On real solid power supply, or Big man generator, PL380 easily out paces 9001, driving 3x 8 ohm 1000w drivers per channel, 38-100hz.

If I had the gigs, to return the investment, I would have splashed out on a Powersoft X4L, ages ago.

I've had Void Inf 8 MK2s, numerous times, and no other transformer amp, has ever matched them.

But if you are over 40, your back tells you to find decent lightweight amps, even if wheeling in racks !!!

CA18 probably best "sounding" transformer sub amps ever, but the power to weight ratio, not really justified, these days. IMHO

But Void Infinite 8 MK2, would pound 9001 into the ground, at 4 ohm stereo.

Even though 2x Voids would cost approx £2200 - £2400, it would make more sense, buying 2x of those, or a K20  for powering  8x 18" modern drivers, than a 9001.

These ones are a tiny bit more than the 1600gbp mentioned here, crazy if you ask me. Really doubt they will ever move them at that price but who knows...
Regarding the setup, doesnt RC1 run like one bin per amplifier? Thats a no compromise approach which theoretically i would also take but on a much smaller scale.
Like one bridged 9001/ca18  per 2 21s or one 4 ohm per side , or inf8 RAM bux 5.0 .
but thats all wishful thinking at this point and im sure there are much more lighter and practical solutions now but yeah.

10kused occasionally has 9001s for sale. Non on atm, but there are 3 8002s for a pretty reasonable price. I saw a pair of 9001s on eBay recently for £1600 each.
