Oh dear should I???  spose so  well I do fully realise BPH Horns are the staple on here. But not my cup of Tea. I prefer a Horn with a good low end response that can also perform over more than 1 Octave for a start to call a Bass system "Sub" is a bit strong when tuned at around 70 -90HZ

i used to have some of the "Festival" 2x18's which were better but for me no Cigar. and while we are on this subject it is most likely the limited performance of the BPH systems lots seem to use being the reason why they need to "Augment" with "Kick" bins as sadly they fall far short of a real serious pro system with a good bandwidth. Sure the output is fairly high due to the raised efficiency of the BPH is nature but 3 Octaves should be a target not 1 And I dare not comment on the " Subjective Audio" ( There we go with that recent as well bone of contention again BTW I fully intend to start an Employment Agency for "Subjective Piano Tuners" as apparently all audio is Subjective) I have been using 2 box kit for years with no need to add "Kick" apart from when it is a dedicated 25-30hz and up Sub + Bass Horns 65- 200ish but then mine are usually pure Hornloads not limited Bandwidth BPH's which do not sound too great with the Monotonic reproduction they tend to offer

there are not too many to be honest but some of the best "Subs" I have owned and used were Intersonics BT7 but as for Bass CS&L "BBH" were really good we had 8 of those in the past 6 were good open air for upto percapitas3000+ never need to use more as then we used our G118's loaded with 1850's we had 16 of those they good for 10,000 or so.

Someone on here has suggested I build some BBH again I may do just that next year and load them with PD185* or PD215* but have more pressing products to do first that will be fiscally more advantageous for business but another bass system I had built before a 2x15 is a definite for next year  good for 38-200Hz so no need for other kit just "top boxes" so still in keeping with a 2 box "Stack" but one that works properly
I just do not see the point in designing a BPH based system with all its shortcomings so I don't simples

that is a bit of a silly thing to say. You know nothing whatsoever of which I speak neither do you have any point of reference as to my technical abilities as a designer that holds at least 1 Patent albeit in audio electronics not acoustics it's all just Physics

I just allow the "Deaf" to make noise I do not impress my schools of thought or my extensive knowledge on anyone  i have opinions but they are firmly based in research and a composite knowledge in these principles  but Your opinion is yours right or wrong you may have it gladly

I know what i know I am not here to preach but ask is a different matter when i am ready I will post and "Show off my Sound System" and take sales orders shortly after

I will not rise to the Heckling of the deaf I often find those that cannot grasp something will instead ridicule it for lack of their own understanding of such higher things   Tongue
