They look like custom built cabinets and the serial numbers being -1 and -2 might bear that out.
Mega used to build woodwork and systems for many different companies and I'd guess this is a flightcase version of one of their standard products. Either for a small PA or disco system, or sidefill monitors.

Oh, and the grille should be the other way up, looks much tidier ...

As mentioned above, don't use those HH amplifiers unless they have been fitted with DC protection!

Looks like a pair of 70s H|H TPA100d amps on the top there  Smile  Useta have this wonderful ability of sending DC thru your speaker and frying it - just to save you replacing the fuse.

Add some reasonable photo's of them here if you'd be so kind, although they are not original it would be nice to have a record/photo of them for other people. :-)

Dont think they come out of the cases, certainly not easily. Cant find the covers of the cases which is a bit annoying.

Thanks very much though guys - thats all really helpful!

They are Mega FR212 cabinets but they would not have any of the flightcasing surrounding them at present--does the cabinet come out of the case or has the cabinet been completely fitted with the bits and pieces.
Originally they were a tip and roll cabinet with just two wheels on the back bottom cut away corner and were fitted with two long coil linen surround 12" ATC PA75 bass drivers along with a 9" ATC for mid and an RCF TW101 driver on the horn flare along with a built in three way passive Xover.
As Ian has said above, it looks like they may have been retro fitted with a variety of different drivers during their life and because they were never a very popular cabinet, in todays market they are not really worth a lot of money--we had three pairs of them in the seventies that went out on hire rigs as sidefills as they were never any good as a FOH cabinet.

Mega made a whole range of pro-audio cabinets around the late 70's,very early 80's. These ones you have where mainly stagefill or small main PA.
Originally would have had some high quality drivers inside, but even a quick look it seems they have a pair of miss-matched bass drivers, which is entirely predictable after 35 years.
What are they worth? Not a great deal, probably worth more in drivers than as a whole.
Be seeing you.

missed the gumtree ad before my previous post, just had a look at it.... provided both cabs really do work, and you're asking a hundred quid each, you should be able to do a quick sale......
