Never criticise another man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. Once you have, call him what you like, you're a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Yup! I must admit most of their stuff was crap really but at the time no one really knew any different & I seem to recall the weight and sound was one of the first  reggae mixer's you could buy for a shop so at least they did try!

Used to have the same TUAC mixer around 1980. The PFL buttons were touch sensitive (actually they were exposed tracks of the PCB with a red tally led behind them) and if you worked a humid venue they would latch up so the pfl function was lost!
it's all just cardboard and magnets really

I had a TUAC amp module around 1974-75 i guess,125watts,it was OK in its day, certainly more reliable than the ILP equivilant.
Be seeing you.

The first mixer I brought (about '76 - I was about 15 at the time) was a Tuac mono DJ mixer. They were just a front plate with the PCB attached and no back cover what so ever. Wonder how that would square with current CE regulations!

I bought it for £4.99 and it works .

Just.

It's very rusty under the panel and I agree with you all, it would fail any sensible test now.

Issue - The slider faders are complete screwed and I want to swap them. Anyone know a supplier of 20k lin Stereo ones, and forget Maplin as these are 3.5 inches long. None of your 65mm rubbish here.
