i am looking for a speaker to replace the ls 1802.Cry made by pd
ive reed alot on some forums about this ls 1802 and no body can say grab that speaker and the resolds are great.

the ls 1802 has a 3 inch voice coil
there are some brands with a 3 inch voice coil 18 inch speaker
18Sound 18LW800 or B&C.Speakers 18PS76.
18Sound 18ND930 and others

if you had a speaker who is exatly the same as a ls1802 the only difference is the voice coil diameter and that is 1 inch bigger. what kind of a effect should this have on the sound.

Which Turbosound cabinets do you have with LS1802 fitted as they are usually inside TMS4, TSE118 and TSE218 cabinets---All of these cabinets are known for their fast and "kicky" punch which is exactly what the LS1802 is designed to give you---You can replace them with PD184 drivers which will go slightly lower in response and handle more power but at the cost of loosing some of the punch of the LS1802 drivers.

the pd has a 4 inch voice coil. and ive read someware that the 3 inch voice coil also gives you that fast kiky punch. so i need a speaker with a 3 inch voice coil and the parameters of a pd 184 then i loose les of the punch
