From what I understand, the earlier versions utilized variant of the Fane 18B driver, and later versions utilized variant of the PD188.

I'm hearing something different from a few sources.

Can any aficionados, clarify the situation, with Turbo driver model numbers for the V1, V2,V3  ?

I have 4x thl818 mk2, they are loaded with their original ls1809
(fane chassis)
The ls1804 is the same as a pd188
Hard to know the time line of when turbo switched over to the ls1804.

From my use of both drivers they sound exactly the same, eq exactly the same on measurements & I have run both types off drivers off the same amp channel many times without issues.
Original recones are not available for ls1809 but are available for ls1804 on blue aran, handy to have original recones available

Don't know how much of this you know already so said what I know myself

Cheers..

Do you know what the difference is between MK1/MK2s?

So you are saying Turbo switched from Fane chassis ls1809, to PD chassis 1804 in later revisions.

I previously owned 4x authentic THL 818s, but later realised, the chamber design for each driver,is completely different to THL828 driver compartments, hence sold them.
