Im just telling you my real world experience if you are a disco fair enough but if your on anything with demanding bass line ie DnB garage Dub etc Nah.You cant compare 1210's I have Mrk2 & Mrk5 there is quality in the build (With old amps the caps and other components start to deteriorate unless you service them cant see the economics in that)and there is a price difference.I like old amps ie nostalgia but not to play out with in this day n age too old to be carrying old iron around when something lighter with more power can do the same job stick with the QSC as with the Peavey you will need a stiff power supply ie 240@20-32A to realise its potential Peavey prob 30yr+ QSC Prob 15yrs+ old bless

But there a lot of people out there who still use the old CS series and even the PV2000 amps too and say they love them still, they get them serviced and the amps are good for years more use.

I dont see the point in asking opinions if you already seem to have made up your mind up. If you want the peaveys then buy the peaveys.

It's not that, it's that some people say the CS1000x amps are still to this day a great sub amp and he's saying they're rubbish.

Well its now December 4months since your original post no ones stopping you or anyone from using the Peaveys or A/Bing them, but what I cant understand is why ask a Question if you cant be open minded about the answer especially from folk who have owned the said amps. At the end of the day the choice is yours and what you intend to use them for. What you could do is a bit of research and see what ppl are using in their racks these days and see if Peavey CS is in the mix. What is a known fact is that Peavey acquired Crest, Its the Crest amplification and its brand is where Peavey have invested their R&D bless

I am open minded I just find it unusual that you think they're rubbish when many people have said they're excellent. :)

You already seem to have enough information to make an informed choice.

There are pros and cons to both options. You need to choose the compromise to suit your needs. If you are equally happy with them on paper surely it just comes down to what you like the sound of?

Time to beg, steal or borrow some and have a listen!
