I like the concept of that, certain degree of elegance in its simplicity! Better than a black bin bag.

I very rarely waterproof anything these days, more design some form of roof or similar to manage the water/rain away to somewhere where it's presence is of no consequence. Cheaper and often quicker.

Compared to repainting water based paint boxes every month, not really.

How far does 4l go? Can you reduce the hardner ratio to make it less sandpapery?

85 quid includes the gun, if you’re just buying paint and hardener for subsequent jobs it won’t be that much.

Since people were asking about these, some pics of the finished power boxes. Four out of the six wired so far, all with 2.5mm armoured cable, mainly just cos I had a big pile of armoured lying around.

@toasty

Not sure were you seen it feel like sand paper

The 2/3 examples iv seen of it are more like the finish on martin/void cabs than sand paper.

Gun pressure and preparation will make a big difference i guess to the finish .

The finish on my van and brothers van is more like hard plastic than sand paper

According to the Upol website the 4 bottle kit (£65.00) covers 12 sq meters. So at a guess one pack would do 2 x double 18 cabs or 2 scoops.
If it's got wheels or tits it's gonna cost a fortune
