Im new to mixers in general and I want a cost effective solution for controlling different rooms with an ipad or pc. Mostly just volume level for each room.
Can this be done with the aux outs of the Behringer X Air XR18 it does only has one main out. Or do you guys know any other cheap solution for this? |

you need a zone controller.... something like the Adastra Rz45 won't break the bank....it has bluetooth and USB conectivity as well as inputs for wall mounted control panels.

Yes . Aux outs are very often used to feed stage monitors/"zones". If all the individual channels aux levels are set to "10"and are set to post fade they will respond the same as the main outs , you lower the channel fader and all levels will drop . you would use the aux master faders to adjust relative zone levels. adding channel compression/limiting on the inputs it should look after the system

Sorry about that, I realised once I'd posted.... another contender is possibly the Soundcraft Ui24R or Ui16 Edited by APW - 15 March 2021 at 8:23pm |
