Brother T, It was an eBay deal that fell through for someone else and the seller then got in contact with me as I had messaged him a few times. Like Jason said, there are some great deals around at the moment on lighting. Are you after spots or washes or scanners?
Jason, using magic dmx in its simplest form (no programming at all) but fancy a change! Edited by supremesoundz - 13 November 2014 at 10:59am |

Ideally scanners would be what I would want. After getting a lot advice recently,a lot of people have told me that the Robe 250 series is better than the Mac 250 series so I am looking towards Robe at the moment.I do know that these lights are quite dated, but for what I need them for they are ideal. What is your opinion?
By the way,the 251s I bought from you years ago are still going strong! My mate has them at the moment.Sold them to him a couple of years ago. |

Brother T, I would recommend the robe 250 club scans, they are smaller in size than the Robe 250xt scans so are more manageable and give a great effect.
I have a pair of these myself that I use for smaller marquee- type parties and rate them highly, like I said they are a great size and well built too EV 251's are great speakers!

When you say Magic I guess you mean MagicQ? I.E Chamsys?
There is also cracking deals going round on last decades top dollar consoles. Have a look at WholeHog2's I bought a pair a few weeks ago. Jason |

The Robe 250XT moving heads are the same as the Futurelight MH660 (bar maybe a colour slot or gobo change I believe) and all the parts cross compatible. The MH640 was the same as the Robe wash of the same era.
I think the MH660/250XT also came in another variant from another manufacturer too but less common. Ultimately, all the stuff of that era was Robe OEM, which is why early Futurelight gear is such a steal. |

Yup good stuff is the robe/futurelight gear. I set myself up with 4 x MH660 recently and all in all with new phillips lamps they cost me £700 with flightcases. Well happy
Be warned that they have stopped doing the case moulds for the MH660 now, so once they are gone they are gone... other parts are still available thoughEdited by Jimmer - 14 November 2014 at 5:11pm |

Thought i'd post this if anyone is interested, a chap on a facebook rig resale/dj network page selling 4 (not flightcased) Robe 250AT colour spots for £600. The 250at spot is a current model, but not sure exactly how it differs from the 250XT apart from having different gobos. Good price though..
