Totally recapped, redid all bad solder joints and a good general cleaning of the unit. I’d like to try it on a set of AR9’s. These speakers are well known as amp killers. Worth a shot or am I just playing with fire? (Relativey

I recently did full overhaul on a pair, new cabinets, refoam all drivers and recapped, had to replace hf as they were shot.
They should play fine on the peavey, not exactly a hi-fi amp though, they are fairly noisy, had one is workshop for a while. Get yourself something decent like mc2 or beefy hifi power amp, bryston etc... Amps were not so capable back in the days when AR9s were on the market!
