Here are some links for further Grateful Dead Wall of Sound pics including construction and flying. If anyone is interested, I have a technical description of the system which makes interesting reading.
Just PM me if you want a copy.

and one of the Dead with a normal (Meyer) system

For sidefills, can we have two enormous things of a type that might be venerated as Gods by the inhabitants of Easter Island, capable of reaching volumes that would make Beelzebub soil his pants.

thats what my kitchen looks like,
I remember buying some 115's off some guy in London who claimed that when he was younger he single handedly used to lift them up flights of stairs..when I asked him to show me how he did it ,the vein in his forehead nearly exploded through strain!!still he got it off the ground... just!(was unloaded). There is quite a technique to lifting them on your own.

A couple more for your collections.

First, a small oldie - Family at Hyde Park Probably 300 watts max for several thousand people!!!

Secondly Windsor Jazz festival, 1967 - no, that's not a V-Dosc system, they are WEM 4x12s on their sides:

Finally, the Who's Heil system:

And some more:

First, Pink Floyd's rig at Knebworth (steve Miller Band on stage). This system was also used at the Queen/Steve Hillage concert at Hyde Park a while later - sounded really good at both although Floyd had well chronicled problems both before & during the Knebworth show.

Next, an IES (pre MEH) system at Knebworth in 1974 (Tony, did you construct these cabs for IES?)

Next, the original Turbosound Festival rig:

Finally, the Hollywood bowl V-Dosc system@

Enjoy!!!

Great photos Jazomir....it makes me wonder where all this old vintage gear ended up...Ok,the 4550 and 4560`s would all be firewood now,but i bet some of those hf horns are still around.

By the way,i have a pair of 1" 2345 with 2420`s here that came from Pink Floyds 70`s rig.

But where did all those martin cabinets end up? ....James?Wink
Be seeing you.
