Perhaps a crossover with a HPF too !

Excellent build & attention to detail.

definitely you need to high pass them!

i high pass mine at 35hz with a 48db butterworth i think. but give them an eq bump at 40hz too.. i like the results.

i normally run them one a side on pkn xd4000s.

Ahem... LOL

Wouldn't be suprised if V18-1000s are now actually better speakers than PD1850s.

Are they british built?

Kurt Muller cones are pretty common in  many drivers, anybody can buy the cones... the magic bit is getting just the right combination of parts....

Im not disputing they are a good driver, just saying they are british designed, but not british built.

Which is a common trend now, manufacturing at the right price seems to be something that just doesnt happen a great deal in the UK.

Hi,

I have a question regarding these infos.
We are building Rhino Scoop MK III that we plan to load with Void V18 and we still don't know what size should the hole be.
We have:
Rear Mount cutout : 425 mm
Front Mount cutout : 430mm

And they talk about "Baffle Hole Diameter 427mm" on this website
http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=VODV181000

Who should we listen?

Thanks in advance

Understand your problem/question but if doubt if you intend to buy/using sed drivers measure them yuself..

it just shows ya not to trust everthing you see/hear on the web, i seen some shocking specs of drivers and amps with all different specs/data ect, even from the brand names too..

good luck!

I don't think 430 / 427 / 425 mm should make a big difference, all measurements should have safety margins, when u push out the cone u will see that the cone has a much smaller diameter than the surround.
Driver centering can differ a few mm too

Front mount means if dropping driver through cutout, to bolt on front of baffle.
As above Void info says, 430mm.

Yes plenty of Manufacturer provided driver info is crap, but Void's is an example of how to do it right.

Embarrassed

Yes Lev I always take the small figure they give , which here is Rear Mount cutout : 425 mm, otherwise it will interfere with the bolt holes , having the T-nuts hanging half in the hole ,
