Having another utility themed fundraiser for our community building. This time it's water. So what kinda watery effects would you use? I'm not really a lighting person so lack a little imagination in that area lol.

might be difficult due to firehazards and restrictions but you can recreate kelp and such by draping strands of old curtains and such from the ceiling, and projecting aforementioned things onto them. any scan or head with a breakup gobo slowly counterrotating to a slowly (but not the same speed) rotating prism and presto.

buy slazs abyss light!

Optikinetics do / did a wheel called "Deep" which is classically paired with one of their distortion wheels which creates a rippling effect.
Keep pushing on, things are gonna get better.

No light source though. I'll look up the deep wheels :)

I worry that projections may make everything too bright.

@Sam

Hey Sam - long time no speak ....

The Abyss thingy - well it belongs to my mate Graham (who you met once a few years ago) .... if it could be persuaded (likley bodged) to work - well I'm sure you'd be most welcome to use it - no hire/money invloved.

If you're not au fait ... the Chauvet Abyss is a lighting FX thing dedicated to water effects !

Thanks awesome thanks, I don't have any suitable led modules for a repair atm though. Though given time I may be able to source if we can figure out the requirements.
