My main problem is how utterly shonky and overloaded their DNS platform is. Keep your domain’s DNS somewhere else and learn how to do things yourself and you should be fine.

Just as a note to anyone reading this and thinking about buying domains - the one place you REALLY want to avoid is : www.uk2.net
THE worst service, THE most expensive tech support line... I hate everything about them. Do your self a favour and AVOID www.uk2.net (I only know of them as customers have regd domains with them and extracting the said domains from them is a complete mare & they then charge you for the privilidge!) |

Have heard bad things about 1&1 and uk2.net are run by actual retards.
Took them FOUR back and fourth emails to tech support over the best part of a month to get them to actually add the dns entries for a domain purchased FROM THEM to their own god-damn servers for a client. Then another series of angry emails to get money back for the downtime. Only web host I have had any positive dealings with is ovh.co.uk I have rented 2 unmanaged servers from them and cant argue with the price, massive European connectability and the tech support aren't useless. |
