Currently i have a Void infin8 mk1 and I'm looking to power up safely 4 LAB horns
Am i best to sell the void and power 1 sub per side from two amps? Just curious as to what other people are using.

I've used PLX3402's, PL4.0's and PL380's when had Lab's. All worked well, provided they are run within the cab's limits.
Lab's have some low impediance drops from memory, so you ideally ether want a decent amp that is happy with 2ohm loads (2boxes per ch) or driver one box per channel. Matt. -matt

Running mine from an infa 8 mk 2, saying that thou the voids do scare the crap out of me even with correct limiting. looking for a PKN 4000 to sawp with the voids if one ever appairs on the second hand market. Proline 2700 would run 1 lab per ch nice, where are you based?

Just outside Leicester, be good to have a listen to some LABs before I commit to making some.
Anyone out with some?

Would be fine, personally I'd like headroom so a K10 would be preferable.

We are indeed, Dimensions too. Gonna keep quiet on the plans though, you'll have to come see for yourself. Well looking forward to it!

Toasty, were at Dimension too, helping out backstage, were going to do both but were up at a festival in Scotland over Outlook. We got a space in the van if you know anyone who needs a lift!

Ta for the offer – I'll have a think but most of our lot are out in the EU already or getting flights. If you're gonna be roped into box humping I feel for you, there's a lot of switcharoo planned between events!
Oh, and somewhat back on topic, we're going to have 6x K10, 2x K8 and a bunch of Infinite 8 v2 and PKN XE6000 across the site, I'd be happy with any of those on my bass section! Edited by toastyghost - 02 August 2012 at 8:30pm |
