Yes but the Macrotech 5000i is a vastly undersized version of the 12000i, just like the 9000i therefore I would not recommend it.
The LabGruppen FP6400 is known for uploading 120A(peak) spikes to the mains network, effectively ruining other equipment connected to the opposite mains phases, this is the main reason it should be avoided. |

Crown iTech 4000 beats PKN XE4000 badly on sub duty. So no, what you say is complete rubbish.

or another amp around £1000 2nd would be good , but were limited on funds
need around 2500w on 4 ohm but the option to run 2 ohm aside to run 8 x es18's would also be useful |

Who knows the tricks happening really in a DSP pre-equipped amplifier?
When the signal is AD then processed then DA and AD converted again again + even DSP acts just bypass there are several changes on the signal. All these amplifiers have tricks built-in to make sonic performance "more comfortable" when you listening alone.. however these *features* are usually making them very bad when need to deploy in large scale. |

...heisenbergs amp!!! Changes it's sonic characteristics depending on how many people are observing the amp... Gotta get me one of those amps!! |

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Hehe :-) the dirty trick is that the DSP "sees" when test signal applied (such standard equal bust tone sweeps) provides flat frequency response.
If you apply music then tricks turned on. Normal test tools like SMAART or AP system 1 would not show the difference. All mayor three players doing this dirty. |

Who cares which trick they use? What maters is how they sound when you put them side by side.
