Yeah why? I have seen alot of picks with 1850/186 horns with HD15 on top. I thought they are a nice solution with bass and kick, am I wrong?

You are right, they are designed as a 1 cab bass solution. Not sure why anyone would add hd's unless they wanted lots more kick.

Would probably make it sound worse than just building more 1850s/186's, correct me if im wrong..

the kick from a dedicated kick bin will be faster and cleaner.

i found that when i had 1850 horns, the kick region was a bit boomy and muddy, because there is only one driver trying to cover bass and midbass.

with rigs made up of just 1850's or 186's and tops, for example 6 1850's stacked two wide and 3 high on there sides, would all the 1850's be set to the same x-over freq to cover bass and kick, or would it be better to set the top two, for example to cover the higher bass and kick, letting the others focus more on the bass up to about 120hz??

or are the 1850's more than happy to cover it all up to 250 or whatever?? i thought the sound would get muddy??

i ask this cos im about to aquire some

Exactly, 1850s sounds a bit 'honky' over 150 IMO, sound much better with kicks on top. Depends how low your mids will cut off aswell
