Have noticed this on Dell PCs, heard about it on laptops also.
Sometimes while playing music, using Windows 7 + WMP, music volume will cycle up & down. Does WMP have software limiter/compressor? Winamp has, but even if not disabled, does exhibit WMP symptoms. Anyone else seen/fixed this ? |

Can't say I've seen it on my system. Are there any plugins or other sound "enhancement" apps running on the system? I think SRS has a "constant level" filter built into it.

Quick google revealed many people have had this problem, with most suggestions being disabling enhancements on taskbar speaker icon..
Just asking here, before getting in to it. |
