A quick heads up for those with XTA DP series controllers, be aware that it is highly likely that if the unit has been powered down for an extended period during lock down that the memory backup battery will have discharged below 3 volts and puked battery acid all over the circuit board eating the tracks. 224 226 need replacement's the 448's there is a conversion to button cell battery's that resolves the puke problem but does mean remembering to change batteries as & when.

Really annoying isn’t it!

In the getting ready to get going again I’ve had to have 2 x 226 have a lot of work on the tracks to make them usable and one that was a right off.

I didn't know they had batteries until I powered up my 448 and all the settings had been lost. Note to self- change the button cell once a year, and back up the settings regularly...
