Cool have u got a plan for the tapped horn ? Might make one for the sub box maybe or just another scoop
Had a bit of a shit day to day I thought I would fill the empty space with expanding foam.... So u can probably guess where this is going lol so have to re do the scoops :/ tomorrow. But on a up side I woodcut up and started geting the internal parts glued and screw got all the angle spot on so happy with that Edited by pre67 - 25 October 2013 at 10:32pm |

Sorry to hear that. Expanding foam does work, but I find it best to fill a little at a time and make sure that it has somewhere to go when it runs out of room. I do it usually with one side panel off, but I have never done the curve piece of the scoop. I just did it as a straight angled panel.

Haha messy, I'd always fill with one side off but I guess that isn't very helpful advice right now. Don't stress if the foam goes everywhere, just wait for it to dry. When wet it is horrible stuff, when dry it can be shaped, cut and sanded. you could even fill the surface of it with filler and then sand down for a smooth profile using just the foam! Not tried that myself though.

Do you have a 25mm flat wood boring bit? Very handy for busting large holes into things, mounting Speakons etc. and just the job for creating holes for injection of expanding foam, that are big enough to let it come back out if it wants to.
I would have removed the bulging panel with a jigsaw me, but I suppose your method was better for stress relief
