I have had two previous converters before using the OMB one and the OMB one did the job. Not the best DSP, but seeing what is available for consumers, not much choice.

The amp modules themselves are quite ok, and for me enough choice regarding size, channel and power options. I would be fine with designing an own plate etc, but finding a suitable DSP that can be bought by less then hundreds has been quite impossible.

A search for the holly grail at the moment even for way more than hundreds.
i am working on developing our own one because the search have proven futile.
It is such an oportunity for someone that can fill the void but no one seems be grabbing the opportunity.

So I went with some amp modules from OMB audio. First impression was good, build was quite nice, shipping was quick etc. But after some testing, problems with the DSP modules. When engaging filters, a lot of distortion and extra noise was present on the outputs. I have done several measurements with a simple mydaq to verify the problem. After reporting this to OMB, they kept pointing at user error, which was quite impossible imho.

So the whole OMB story did not get any better over time. They kept pointing at user error for my problem. To solve the problem, I would need to buy 5 new CQ380 DSP modules, which I am definately not going to do. That would cost me an additional 500 euros without even knowing they solved the problem. If anyone want to know more about the problems itself, let me know via here, or send me a pm. Have done some measurements to document the problem itself.

With this in mind, I really do not have much options left. I have four plate amps which are not really usable in their current state. Maybe I will salvage the amp modules themselves and build some 19" rack amps with them etc...

@Contour

They don't want to solve the problem on their costs. It is 100% a dsp problem and they could send me one DSP to test, but even that was to much to ask. As said before, they keep hiding behind the user error argument. So I am done with the company, and won't recommend.
