My friend has 4 of Volcano's 21's atm and apparently 4 more in the next month or 2.

Been interested to find out who built them or just some history on them, if either of you know some anything about them would be nice to get some history on them :)

There currently being loaded with 21" P-Audio SD21 1800EL (i believe), loaded 2 up but one of the drivers had a scratchy noise, is on its way back and 3 more on the way soon to get all 4 loaded and running.

Be sure to report back with the results, might even try to visit you guys to hear them in action.

Would only get involved in 21" scoops, if new/used, decent, 21" drivers, could be had fairly cheaply.

Im happy to get them out the box and run them up for you, then you can call them used.

Why don't we have a list of 21'' scoops and have a Sat/Sun afternoon A/B testing at GP?

I have PDN2151 and Celestion NTR21 5010JD for testing

Not tried them in scoops but I loaded 8 Opus HB121 Mk2 Bandpass Horns with the P-Audio SD21-1800EL mentioned above and they have been doing a good job for a couple of years now.  Pretty serious drivers and not silly money so I suspect will work well in the right scoop.

I managed to get 8 18Sound 21LW1400's for $3500 (USD). I would be happy to link anyone on the East Coast/ Caribbean to the dealer I use if someone wants some.
Wouldn't want to lift these up stairs. Dead I am fortunate enough that my scoops will never have go up any stairs as all the venues I use them at are outdoors or indoors at ground level.
I would put 4 of these up against 4 double 18 reflex  ANYDAY. I am quite confident as I used to own a boat load of double 18 reflex, and they don't come close.
