   one thing worth noting is that whilst going for a 3 way mid top should in theory for PA applications give you a much better approximation of the original signal getting the drivers to give you good cohesion in terms of dispersion max spl and phase is a headache out of the time frame most diy designers may fancy spending time on.

im thinking about finishing the 6" design ive got off or doing something akin to an xtro flare with a phase plug straight to a 1.4 or 2" covering 80Hz or so up though getting the dispersion right on that is going to be a killer if i do try it.
