The passive crossover went quite a bit higher than 150hz, I overlap the sub and tops on my setup, running the subs out at a shade over 200hz, but my tops are only a 6.5” and 1” horn, so I benefit from a slightly higher crossover point. If running the slightly bigger Shermann R8m’s I drop the crossover to 170hz. Adding the other cores to the speakons was the first mod, the second adding an active / passive switch to take the crossover out of action on the subs was the second. Incredible output for the size and weight. A friend also has a pair, which he runs with a set of void mycro 8’s. They were happy on the E-1500, but no significant benefit to driving them with the bigger amp. If you want more output add more cabinets.

Yeah, passive xovers just waste energy & more sq inches of cone always beats more watts. I usually drive my 18" with Crest 8001's - or a 9200, but have had to use a smaller amp a couple of times, like a Yamaha P7000 & the difference was marginal, altho' the 9200 definitely has more headroom.   Smile

Yes the 112 sub + Montarbo AS is a small setup. I will try next time with a little bit powerful amplifier on the subwoofers! Thanks for all the advices.

For the DCX2426 settings like limter and maybe highpass? HP 37 Hz 24 db/oct is ok?

Thank for your reply.
I think that the t.amp E4-250 is lacking some power to the subs...

Well, Thomann say 40Hz for the cab, so you should set the HP there.   Smile

Just pulled the rig out and fired it up, I run the 112’s 40hz LR24 up to 200hz LR24 , with my Sherman R2m’s overlapping 125hz LR24 up to out, but at -4db to the subs. Cracking little system, the size and weight of the subs make even upstairs rooms in venues really easy.
