Hi and thank you . I now have a Thames 2…;). but I’ve looked through the files and 2 other sites and no Trent. I’ve also tried the AVSL Citronic sellers and they had a Trent 2 wiring manual (perhaps for the future) and also the old Citronic 2000 amp guides…but don’t have a Trent 2 user manual. I’ve searched the web and although I’ve come across a couple of “Trent” posts….no success as yet. I don’t think there are as many about as all the other desks. It was a heavy unit, a two man lift and at the price then (approx £2000 with SL1200 Mk2 x 2 decks) probably club use and the Kennet definitely with amps built under. I’ve not see a Kennet anywhere. My Trent 2 is in like new in original, unused purple box and the whole unit simply had little part time home use. Just need a manual to suss out the spec for the slave and variable 1/4 Jack outputs (stereo I think) to either 2 studio powered speakers in stereo or slave stereo amps (XLR inputs).

Good evening all,
I was wondering if anybody has any information about the Citronic DC8 Lighting controller from yesteryear - 1980's I think. I have acquired one of these recently and although I have made some progress with this (I've established which pins the supply needs to be connected to for example) but little else. Can anybody shine any light on this (forgive the pun). I've searched the web and this brings me here. Any thoughts on this? Many thanks, T

Hi Woody,
Many thanks for your reply. I believe that the power supply for the controller was built into the dimmer packs and was connected by any one of the four 7 pin din sockets on the back of the controller. I have examined the circuit board and I have established which pins are for the supply. I have applied 11 volts so far and have a variable output at some of the other pins when I operate some of the sliders (I need to be a little more methodical). The variable output seems to be around 0 volts to about 9 volts so I think the protocol is 0 to 10 volts although I think this would need a slightly higher supply voltage - 12 to 15 volts maybe? If this is correct, I could use this with a dimmer pack that I have which uses 0 to 10 volts and construct a separate supply for the controller. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. Many Thanks, Tony
