Hi,
Im planning to build 2 or 4 of 1850 and not sure what to put in, i know ideal would be void 1000 but its little bit expensive for me... what about Fane colossus 18 SB, will it fit ?

If not are there some cheaper options ?

EDIT:
also there is option of fane colossus XB instead of SB

well pd1850 are even more expensive... goes about 500e, fane col 18sb goes around 280e.

But what do you mean ? Is fane colossus not good for 1850 ?

I would suggest 186 Horn, over 1850 Horn, will effortlessly hit below 50hz with modern drivers.

Especially PD1851/2.

In the long run, you will spend more money, reconing cheaper drivers, sub optimal for use in Folded Horns, compared to used quality drivers.

Fane 18SB 1000 T/S Parms

FS 36 Hz
Re 5.2 Ω
QMS 6.583
QES 0.366
QTS 0.346
Vas 199 Litres
Vd 0.893 Litres
CMS 0.109 mm/N
BL 24 T/m
MMS 177.2 grams
Xmax 8.25 mm
Sd 1134 cm2
Efficiency 2.49%
Le 2.23 mH
EBP 98.36 Hz

As can be seen from above, this driver is a budget reflex driver, no where near as strong as V18-1000 or PD1850.

When 186 Horns where drafted, PD186/RCFL18P300 were considered OK, but now, choice of drivers optimal in Folded Horns, have increased.

Only the very strongest reflex drivers, are recommended for cabs like 186 Horns.

My PD1851s are new unused, but I also have some used, but freshly reconed PD1852s, which way outperform V18-1000s/PD1850s, in right cabs.
