Hi Levyte. Appreciate your response.

Okay, so I understand that they aren't at all optimal. However, they are already built and hold some sentimental value so binning them off is not an option on the table.

I think I can live with sacrificing a few dBs, so I'll see how they do, and maybe return with some results after testing them out.

Do hear that, but have to say, getting some money for them if possible, and building the Mykey Fane plan scaled up, with width 636mm, would be be better home for modern drivers.

EDIT:Remembering, increasing cab width, not only increases horn mouth, but also chamber size, horn throat area.

Depends on the power, you intend to play.

I would suggest set HPF to 38hz.

In a stack of 4x, that will sound like 32hz.

Fane 18XB are not very strong, I would suggest at least PD1850 MK1/MK2.

Hi mr Lev from what i’ve understood by reading this thread me and my mate unfortunately have built the wrong box for the driver we bought, we’ve loaded a PD185C003 in a super scoop. We had no real knowledge, and went for the box everyone else had around us. I assume this project but 636 mm wide would be better for our driver, since you have told different people that modern drivers will probably behave better in this cab. Correct me if i’m wrong

To me looks possible you can determine this from the other dimension and angle.

Cut a side out of some scrap or 12mm ply and use this as a guide. Draw all lines on it and you can then take measurements for anything not marked. There's enough info there to do this. As you cut pieces, use this to confirm that each piece is correct.
blah blah blah blah blah......

Yes, this.cab will most likely be best for your drivers.
