As some may have seen already on some fb forums, I have designed and build a new 18" BR cabinet using the Faital Pro 18XL2000 driver.
Tuning is 32Hz with a port of 540cm2. Net volume is around 140L. I have some pics of the build and response, but have to find a new website to host the images. |

Won't get more efficient for a BR. Maybe lower mms driver or lower re driver to get numbers up, but a 18XL2000 in this volume is quite it. No magic.

Slightly bigger cabinet will gain 2db at 40Hz. But if compact was the idea, then all good.

There is a nice spike in efficiency at 50Hz. |

End result with build in plate amps (i know what they resemble
).Each sub can be used for multiple setups including 2.1. ![]() Happy with the result, go low, but still sound tight. Currently busy with a side project to build some amp modules around my own dimensions. A lot of the current (cheaper) options have basic plates that in most cases are quite wide. But that project will take quite some time and research to get some parts at a good price and will be a whole other topic when its time.

How do you find the DSP on those? I got few amp plates to test and they just sit there on the shelv for years now. Horrible DSP.
