What do you think about this system ?
...there's an error....BDM instead of BMD... few question.... Is it better to build 4 scoops for each side with same drivers or this BR will be better ? It will be used for dance/house/techno/trance open-air parties and sometimes for rock/pop-rock... Is ther something better for the money ? For how many people ~ it can be used ? And if i go with half woofer (4 instead of 8 drivers), one 12" per box instead of two and half power amplifying how many people ~ than ? Sorry for my bad english.... Thanks ! |

How many people are you planning to use it for, and does open air = open fields?
Also, for the stuff you're going for, don't go anywhere near to scoops. Reflex boxes are very versatile and work with most kinds of music. You should really design your own reflex box around the P Audios, as the GSubs are tuned for the 186. Use winisd if you know how to well, if not, I'm sure the nice chaps at the poweraudio forum have a few plans. |

I would recommend using a larger compression driver in that setup. 1" drivers are fine with a single 12" but won't keep up properly with a pair. Also you'll want to get the crossover point lower than you can with a 1".
I'm using two high efficiency 12" drivers in an X12-like cab and starting to find that even a high-end 1.4" compression driver is running out of headroom on transients! |

for that amount of sub, I'd go for a 2"
P-audio WN-D72 or BM-D750 or better than dat the new PRE NEO 750 |

What do you suggest for that ? Edited by trance_audio - 22 June 2008 at 11:56pm |

Port depth for those 18's = 100mm. Use 2" comps and SN-12MB's!

Build the X12's as per the plan with the recommended components. The 100mm port depth was given by Rog himself. Tunes the box to 42Hz odd. F3 will be in upper 30's if I'm not mistaken.

Amplifier wise I will go for:
2x XLS 5000 on bass 2x XLS 802 on mid 1 x XLS 602 on highs. Better yet for a budget: 2x Crest CD 3000 on bass 2x Crest CD 2000 on mid 2x Crest CD 1500 in tops or the CD 1000 if you must. |

![]() i'm looking for something cheapest that will work good for 200-300 people...i'm starting with some party's...never worked with PA, only home hi-fi (diy/design box too...)...cannot go with that much amplifier in start...much money ![]() What do you think about this: 2x SN-12MB (can SN-12B be replacement ?) + BM-D750(with PH2380 or PH3223 ?) - 2 per side... Are two X1's(or one g-sub) per side enough for start ? later i will add two more per side... |

200-300 people, eh?
Don't touch the X1 for your music. Gsubs and X12s are a good start and will play all sorts. However, it's my personal choice but a pile of 215 copies and some hornloaded midtops would win me any day. |
