Robe 575XT Gobo issue

When you switch on the head should go through a calibration routine to establish the position of/reset the wheels. I think on the Robes they have optical sensors for this. It may be worth investigating if these are all clean and in correct position as a first port of call.

The robes use hall effect sensors with a small magnet siliconed into the colour and gobo wheels. Check the magnets, ie make sure they havent fallen out. The sensors look like little transistors, the gobo sensor is on pcb11 and the colour on pcb7, these are tiny pcbs with 3-pin connectors on them. Make sure the gap from the magnets to the hall sensors isnt too wide, this can happen if the wheels have worked loose and moved too far forward...unlikely though unless they've been taken off and not put back properly. Then check for dry joints at the connectors, then check for continuity from the wires on the sensors right through to the main pcb, they pass through an intermediate pcb on their way and corrosion can occur here due to sweat and smoke residue.

I'm assuming this is the Scan575XT, not the moving head, you didnt say. If it's the moving head spot575 or wash575 then check for breaks in the cables for the sensors where they pass through the yoke pivot points.

To test the sensors themelves, they give a logic out when the magnet is present, the connections are +v, 0V, OP.

Oops, my bad!

well if they are anything with the 160xt spots there is a calibration menu buried in the fixture that can align the wheels

I'm not all that confident looking into part/component level, i have spoken to someone as sugested. Can someone give me a rough idea on servicing cost per moving head
