I love the look of the Limmer range
http://www.lsv-achenbach.de/daten/limmer.htm I believe Dom on these forums uses or used a Limmer horn with a Porn MK1 and seem to remember good comments about the sound |

I do still use the Limmer 308/Mk1 Porn Horn combo...
I think it's a nice combination. As for drivers you need to use the Ciare 6.38MR3, as the horn and phase plug are designed for it. You could use any 1" but you'd need a good reason not to use the B&C DE250....

First of all: I don't think that the Limmer 308 and the Pornhorn are compareable.
The Limmer has got a wider spread and isn't much bigger than a Nexo PS15. The recommended drivers (a good designed passive crossover plan is available) are B&C 12PE32 and DE700. I chose the 18Sound NSD 1480, imho the better HF driver with an active crossover. But the Pornhorn has got much more lowend than the limmer, a result of the long midhorn... |

the one that has been tried is the 042, from what I can read , i think he wants to know if the 308 could also work , maybe it´s just the top end he needs. |

all the prices are on the speakerstore.nl page in euros. you get what you pay for
![]() my experience of the 042 is overwhelmingly positive, got them for about £300 each including drivers, about the same as a decent 1.4" plus horn but dropping much lower. |
